“I went to college for 2 years with Shannen and we spoke a lot about her mum and Red Wellies. I remember hanging on each word as she spoke so passionately about the charity and the events they were doing to raise money and it was at that moment that I decided I wanted to do something.
I have always enjoyed biking so it seemed fitting that I do a really long bike ride to raise money, and that night I looked at the route from Norwich to Hunstanton (45 miles) and I was like 'I can do that!' - and we did; my Dad and I.
We planned the route more, decided on our pit-stops and even had my boyfriend and his friend film it out of my Mum’s car for a video. In total we raised over £500 and the bike ride itself was actually really enjoyable, only about 20% painful!
I feel really great that I was able to help out a great charity and it is something that I will always remember.
